Hi everybody!

This is going to be a Red ACCESSORY themed party. Dress elegant and be creative with the accent color! A few ideas: red flower, watches, shoes, purse, hat, necklace, earrings, belt, glove, lipstick…holding a glass of red wine will not suffice!

Do you dream of wine? Yes? Great. The Red Room is a lovely secret (=hard to find) venue located in the epicenter of downtown Austin. They have a vast selection of gorgeous wines and agreed to tailor a list for our group. The atmosphere is absolutely splendid! If you have not been there yet, now is your time!

Do you like nice legs? I do. Think about which legs will appeal most to your pallet.
Come over and relax with a nice sip of wine. You will not be sorry.

THREE SHEETS on Wednesday, July 10th – start time at 7:30 pm. They have graciously hosted our group in the past and are once again providing us their facility.

Weather permitting, we will meet outside on the upstairs patio – otherwise we will have access to the inside area.

Appetizers will be provided and free parking is available all around the place.

In the meantime, hope everyone has had a great 4th of July Holiday!!!

Austin – June 23 2013

Hello everyone!

City of Austin, Global Austin and EuroCircle ((Austin Polish Society, Casa de Espana Austin etc). will be joining hands and building the next great event together by hosting an International Potluck. This means that you can all bring your traditional dishes and have other members experience new flavors and most of all, your cooking skills! This is no Top Chef event, but it will be a great way to challenge yourself and share your culture with just a bite of heaven.

This event will be hosted at Icenhauer’s on Sunday June 23, starting at 5:30pm. All drinks will be available for purchase at the bar, and all food will be nicely organized according to the different flavors you bring to the table.

We ask that all members who wish to bring a dish send details to Allison Berguin or Kaisa Kokkonen. If you just want to attend, that is no problem, but this is a great opportunity to share something you are proud of. Kaisa is at kaisa@eurocircle.com

Global Austin will have a table set up so you can talk about upcoming events and add the events you are excited about to their calendar. The best marketing tool is word of mouth, keep that in mind.

Food always brings people together, so keep this date open. Go work out and come hungry!

INTERNATIONAL WELCOME AMBASSADOR PROGRAM:

The City of Austin started 2013 with a new program to welcome international newcomers to our city. The International Welcome Program helps international newcomers to quickly feel at home in our city and to connect to community resources and information. There are three initiatives being started under this program.

The City launched an online international calendar and information portal in partnership with GlobalAustin at InternationalAustin.org The website features a calendar of international events, a newcomer’s guide, and feature articles about Austin residents and organizations who are engaged in international activities. The organizations vary from Austin Polish Society, Casa de Espana Austin, Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce to Russian Speakers Society of Austin (plus all NON-European groups).

Happy Hour prices are $1.00 off the glass or $4.00 off the bottle for wine, and $1.00 off all beers until 8:00 p.m. House white is $5.00 per glass and house red $6.00 per glass.

The Summer is no time to work, especially in Sunny California. So skip out work early and come join us at the Clubhouse Bistro in the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Foster City.

There will be free appetizers and a tiny wine tasting will also take place. The Crowne Plaza is right off the 92 and has free parking. This is just a social mixer to meet and greet other Europeans.

Save-the-Date:
For a big fun dance event, come to our Italian Disco Event on Thursday June 13 at 8PM at Unicorn in the Financial District of San Francisco. This will be a 80′s and Italian Disco, so think Sabrina, Koto, Max Him, Fun Fun, Ken Lazlo, Modern Talking, Eddie Huntington, Savage, Ti Sento, Scotch, Roger Meno, and many more. Some of them still sing and produce today! So dress the part, go white pants or totally 80′s prep! More info will follow!

Our next Atlanta Eurocircle Get-together will take place on Wednesday, June 5th at the W-Hotel Downtown. We will meet upstairs at ‘Wetbar’ on the 16th floor and have access to the outside pool area (weather permitting).

Valet parking has been arranged for a flat $8.00 (usually $15.00 for the first 4 hours) or you can park around the hotel area. Appetizers WILL NOT be served this time around but we will have $7.00 red and white wine as well as a $4.00 beer special (Red Hare lager). Start time is the usual 7:30 pm until…
