Mediterranean by heart, Parisian by birth, New Yorker by choice and Latin by soul…
Pascalito (aka Pascal Sabattier) is a French singer, songwriter and poet living in New York. Born in Paris of Mediterranean background, Pascalito grew up in a very musical family. His grandfather was a ladino cantor in Algeria, his mother Liane Sab is a jazz singer and his uncle Paul Ohayon was a big figure singer, songwriter and dancer of the Paris tango scene. His musical identity reflects his cultural diversity as well as other influences including a love for Brazilian music and a strong disposition for poetry.
This modern troubadour crooner expatriated in New York since 1998 likes to call his music ‘’World Chansons’’: a colorful neo-retro fusion of chanson française, jazz and World music.
Pascalito recently landed a publishing contract with PigFactory an international film music production company based in LA. The publisher wants to pitch some of his original material for film and TV and is dealing with the musical editor who has worked on the internationally acclaimed movie ”Babel”.
In April, he was commissioned by Big Foote Music to write lyrics and record vocals on a French song to be used in a commercial for Absolut Vodka.
Some of you had the pleasure of listening to Pascalito at the Bastille Day Fair – and maybe picked up his new CD! View http://www.frenchmorning.com/ny/spip.php?article289!

The intimacy is augmented by the semi private booths divided by impressive Moroccan star wood screens.
